My boy's a messy eater.
The problem with using cloth diapers is that everything Finn eats lands on them. They're stained, very, very stained. Seriously, I washed one diaper over and over this week because I thought the banana stain on it was mold (very fast growing mold, apparently; I wash diapers every day. For real. I swear.)
Actually, I really love using cloth diapers. Um, but that's not the point here. Excuse me.
The point is this apron. Isn't it cute? It's from a Christmas swap I did a couple of years ago. This apron was my solution to the problem.
We tried strawberries today, and I wasn't about to have my boy going about in diapers that look as though he bled out all over them. I do have some standards.
Finn did manage to sneak a few strawberries under the apron, but it was so much better than it could have been. I suspect there are many more aprons in his future.

We will have to use my aprons this way too! My little guy is getting into first foods at the moment as well. he likes the spicy stuff!
What a great idea! I could totally relate to the confusion of banana with mold. I thought the same thing at first. I had no idea, pre-children, that bananas stained so badly!
