Triumphant Return?

We shall see, I suppose.

I have to confess that I really miss blogging. I've never been a pen-and-paper journal kind of girl, but I've always loved the idea. Having a record of my life to look back on years down the road sounds awesome to me, and blogging provides a way to maintain such a record without feeling like a total dork as I write Dear Diary.

(That's totally not to say that people who keep journals, or even people who actually write "dear diary" in their journals, are dorks. It's just the way I feel personally about the whole business. I'm super self-conscious, even about things that nobody else will ever see.)

I suppose it's true, though, that this extremely extended (with a few posts here and there) blogging break just reflects the fact that my life is BUSY. Parenthood--who knew? Perhaps that's the best reason to blog, though. My life is busy because my child is growing up (so, SO fast, ohmygoodness!), and there's so much that I'll want to remember about this time.

So, on this last day of August, a month which was absolutely stuffedtothegills with things to talk about, I'm returning to this space, and the plan is to be here regularly.
